Crazy looking eyebrows may have been cute on Frida, but trimming your eyebrows can make a world of difference when it comes to looking neat and polished. You can spend an hour on your hair and makeup to the point of perfection, but it’ll all be in vain if you have extremely untamed eyebrows!
Some of us are not naturally blessed with eyebrows that lay perfectly flat, and I definitely know mine can look pretty crazy sometimes! I have these wild ones that seem to like to spike out at the arch. It actually looks pretty funny, and they tend to look like Jareth the Goblin King, if I don’t keep them under control!
Trimming your eyebrows is not as scary as it seems. So lets leave the fluffy brow reputation to the Muppets, and I’m going to take you step by step through the process and at the end I’ll show you a few methods on how to clean up around your beautiful arches when we’re done Image may be NSFW.

The first thing you’re going to need to do is gather an eyebrow groomer (which is just a fancy term for a little brush and comb, or you could use a clean mascara wand) and some hair spray.
Spritz your brow brush with some hairspray so that when you brush your hair up, it’ll stay in place.

Now take your brush or mascara wand, while the hairspray is still wet, and brush all the hairs up like so…

This gives you a guide so that you know what hairs to cut and how much to take off. Line up the scissors with top of your brow and cut anything that extends passed that line. You’ll see what I mean in the next picture.

It makes it easier to get all the hairs if you cut in the opposite direction that your hair grows.
Now you need to brush your hair downwards and do the same on the bottom. But BE CAREFUL because this can be a little tricky, don’t go poking your eye out, or cutting your eyelashes, or cut too high into your arch. That would be a big OOPS! And if your hair is more sparse, you can probably skip this step.
